Cult Gaia Brings Its Bold Style to South Coast Plaza

10.22.26

Orange County just got a new place to shop for statement pieces. Los Angeles-based Cult Gaia has opened a boutique at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, with ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and accessories all under one roof.

The brand started with accessories, and it still treats each design like a small work of art. Sculptural shapes and natural textures make these pieces the kind you notice twice, and the kind you’ll want to hold onto and hand down someday. That heirloom mindset runs through the whole collection, from the breezy dresses to the footwear.

If you know the brand, you know the bamboo Ark bag. It’s the piece that put Cult Gaia on the map, and it goes with just about everything.

You’ll find the boutique on the Upper Level, between Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co. and near Din Tai Fung.

Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Spooky Sips and Pumpkin Pancakes at Outpost Kitchen

10.22.26

Outpost Kitchen is getting into the Halloween spirit with three new seasonal items: the Frankenstein Cocktail, the Spooky Spice Iced Latte and Pumpkin Spice Gluten-Free Pancakes.

The Frankenstein is a craft cocktail made with Midori, pineapple juice, lime, Hendry’s Vodka, Empress Gin and house-made blueberry jam. The Spooky Spice Iced Latte combines espresso with pumpkin spice and house-made vanilla syrup, comes with a choice of milk and is topped with pumpkin spice cold foam. The pancakes are fluffy and gluten-free, loaded with banana, walnuts and maple syrup, and finished with cinnamon mascarpone.

The Costa Mesa eatery will also host an employee costume contest on Oct. 31. Diners will receive a ballot to vote for their favorite staff costume.

Known for fast, fresh fare, Outpost Kitchen focuses on organic, biodynamic and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant is Aussie-inspired and built on a commitment to organic, sustainable and locally sourced food. Inspired by owner Jay Lewis’ hometown on Australia’s Gold Coast, it prepares fresh meals while building relationships with local farmers and producers.

The Halloween items are available Oct. 16 through Nov. 1 at Outpost Kitchen. The pancakes will stay on the menu through the end of the year.

3420 Bristol St. in Costa Mesa.
